I can read!

At school and home, Adam has been working on reading. He is learing quickly and can read some little books. I got some video of him reading one of his books and of course I think it is just the cutest thing in the world. The first time he read to me, he kept stoping and saying "I can read!" while he giggled. I was trying to capture that on video but he didn't do it when I was recording.

And here are some older pictures:

Here is a mean pirate.

Christmas

On Christmas Eve the whole family was together (of course) and the kids had so much opening their presents at Mimi's house. I didn't get a picture of the tree but there were so many presents that they didn't fit under the tree and Mimi has a HUGE tree.

Adam, Jakob and Patrick having a drink before dinner.

All the cousins before the present opening chaos begins.

Adam opening his presents. They were all in such a frenzy I don't think they even know what they got until they got home!

Whew, all that present opening is hard work!

Adam and Patrick loved Anne's new chair.

All the kids getting ready to go home and sleep so Santa would come (in matching pjs). Peter didn't quite make it home.

Peeps getting in on the action, he can't miss a good photo opportunity!

Adam on Christmas morning, already wearing his new snow boots. They were by far the favorite gift this Christmas, he wore them everyday for at least two weeks.

Playing in the snow

Last month we got a chance to go up to Ruidoso and go play in the snow. We went up before school started and schedules got hectic again and had lots of fun playing in the snow.

Adam and Randy getting ready to have some fun!

Making a snow angel.

Adam tackled Cody and they rolled down a snow bank.

Adam taking a quick rest. He had just spent a good amount of time punching and kicking the big chunks of snow trying to break them apart. He even head butted them a few times.

After a day of playing in the snow, we decided it would be fun to stay warmer and go to the go-cart track. Adam had tons of fun and he even got to drive his own cart! And Randy was a good sport and drove on the kids track to give Adam someone to drive with. Everyone had lots of fun and hopefully we will get to go back before the snow is gone.

Let's get rolling!

With Adam and I both in school this year things have been quite hectic so I am going to TRY to keep this up to date. Just a little blurb and some pictures to see how things are going here in the great Southwest and just how big Adam is getting.

Before Christmas Adam's school put on a Christmas program. It was cute, the whole school was involved and Adam and his best buddy Will had a speaking part this year!

Here is Adam in his program outfit, very excited to say his part! (He looks so big here, when did that happen?)

Best buddies waiting for the program to start. Their part was at the very beginning so they had to sit through the entire program and be good!
Here is Lauren looking too cute. Adam and Will were sitting right behind her, they just found the flashlights under their chairs.
Adam and 'his kids' after the program. Adam and Lauren were in the program and Anne and Kate were just there for moral support (or because they were forced?)
